Taurus Training Theatre
A new Taurus Training Theatre will not be running this year but last year's King Lear group are still touring with their production that has been so well received. The Sheffield Telegraph described it as: '....a fluent, gripping and admirably accessible piece of theatre...'. The Stroud News and Journal said: '....the production was a feast for eyes and ears, with rich symbolism to inspire the imagination...'. (see events).
Taurus Training Theatre will resume in 2005 with a one year, two day a week course aimed at those who would like to step more fully into performing. It will involve building skills together as an ensemble, working with movement (Feldenkreis, Spatial Dynamics), voice (speech and singing), play, acting techniques, mask work, improvisation and performance. Each participant will take on an individual research project in a particular field of interest which they will present during the year. It will culminate in a full-scale production with at least 10 performances in local theatres. If you are interested in this course, please contact us asap as places are limited.
